The Terra Cosmos theme, conceived by the agency for the September 2024 edition of MAISON&OBJET, highlights exchanges between the cosmic elsewhere and our concrete realities. These interactions encourage the emergence of positive narratives, re-enchanting our daily lives and stimulating our creativity by inviting us to go beyond the boundaries of the mundane.

Immersive installations, lectures and objects take visitors on a journey steeped in science fiction. Iridescent and chromium-plated materials, light effects and mineral textures create a sensory experience that anchors the marvellous and fantastic in reality.

Stagings such as those by Elizabeth Leriche or artist and architect Lionel Jadot are in this vein.

  • What’s New In Decor, Terra Cosmos by Elizabeth Leriche

This immersive journey presented at MAISON&OBJET invites us to raise our eyes to the stars and embark on a quest that blends the material and the immaterial, the poetic and the spiritual, where technology seems to melt into magic.

  • What’s New In installation de l’hôtellerie, installation Radical Anthropocene Adhocsism presented by Lionel Jadot

Craftsmanship, upcycling and design intermingle to create a collective, poetic work of art, in this scenography where the various scenes and productions presented invite us to rethink our ways of welcoming in a sustainable way.

Odyssey

Echoing the Odyssey theme presented in our SS26 Environments & Design trend book, we discovered pieces and scenographies showcasing creations that sublimate materials, combining luxury and technology through expressive aesthetics. Curved lines, brilliance and the hybridization of crafts and techniques redefine the contours of these new trends.

Hein Studio presents a range of chromed, luxurious and futuristic everyday objects. Adorned with precious materials, these pieces are transformed into veritable jewels for bold, modern interiors.

The Christian + Jade studio has created a series of minimalist, dreamlike objects with clean, sensitive lines, whose two-tone color scheme is counterbalanced by the use of chromed materials.

Ali Shah Gallefoss creates pieces that blur the boundaries between design and art. His works challenge traditional methods of working with metal, exploring the unique imprints that this material can acquire during its transformation.

Modern chronicles

Following the principles of the Modern Chronicle theme, a pared-down, chic and essentialist design unfolds, inviting us to poeticize everyday life through a universal language. Sensitivity and minimalism combine to create spaces that combine luxury and simplicity. Essentialism is redefined through playful, and sometimes even amusing, gestures. A new universalism is emerging, inspired by designs, materials and lifestyles that are becoming iconic.

Home Studyo creates playful, often monochrome, laugh-out-loud ceramic objects that transform everyday items into works of art, with the aim of bridging the gap between exclusive high-end design and impersonal mass production by offering accessible, one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces.

Panisa has created a collection of playfully sculptural objects offering an innovative approach to woodworking. These colorful and intriguing pieces turn traditional techniques on their head, exploring new ways of sublimating this material.

Lucano takes everyday objects to new heights, creating stepladders and ladders with modern, elegant lines and desirable colors.
