International Account Director at Peclers Paris, Dani Marino shares with us the specificities of her work, her background and her passions.
Who I am
Hi ! I’m Dani Marino, International Account Director at Peclers Paris.
I’m originally from New York but have been living in Paris since I was 18 years old. I manage the consulting projects for Asia, mainly working with our teams in China and have a team of project managers in Paris.
My professional life
I joined Peclers over 7 years ago. Before getting into fashion, I worked in advertising as an Account Director for a few big ad agencies. I wasn’t necessarily happy in advertising and was always passion about fashion but without a proper creative degree didn’t think it was possible to convert. Peclers was actually my “dream job”, so when I had the opportunity for an interview via a contact in advertising I was thrilled. Six months later a position opened that fit my experience and background and, here I am!
When I first started, our business in Asia was a rather minor part of our business. Within the last years we’ve grown our client portfolio considerably as well as our teams and expertise. Today Asia is one of our main markets.
It’s an understatement to say that the current pandemic has severely impacted the fashion industry. It’s forcing brands and actors to completely and quickly adapt or reconsider their way of doing business or even their relevance. Consumers have new and growing expectations and desires, brands will need to adapt and fast in order to survive.
It’s actually a fascinating opportunity for a more sustainable future as well. China continues to evolve at rapid speed, so we are helping brands adapt and accompany them take on these new challenges.
