Lucille Gauthier-Braud, Beauty Director at Peclers, shares with us her vision of the beauty industry, her relationship with the agency, her passions and her little pleasures.
Who I am
I am Lucille Gauthier-Braud, Beauty Director at Peclers. I am 40 years old, I am married and I have 2 children aged 6 and 10. I have been living in Paris in the Marais for over 20 years but I grew up in the countryside far from everything.
My professional life
After managing the beauty section of a fashion/culture magazine and working in fashion and events, I joined Peclers Paris 15 years ago to develop the Beauty division. A company that suits me because of the quality of its analysis, its creativity, its high standards and its open-mindedness, always anchored in reality.
When I arrived, beauty was a small sector. In 15 years, I saw it develop, transform and grow on a phenomenal scale. The relationship with the body, ecology and the living world have always been at the heart of my thoughts and I am happy that they are now reflected in our clients’ minds.
Eight years ago, I created the Beauty publication that I manage both in terms of content and form. A project close to my heart and which has contributed to the take-off of this sector. It is also a great visibility tool because we have always worked exclusively and confidentially.
What I often say is that I don’t have one job but 10 jobs because the diversity of subjects, segments and clients means that we are in constant competition. I like to meet those who make cosmetics, to exchange with the founders of brands, to know their point of view, but also those who “make” it: formulators, engineers, perfumers. The technical dimension fascinates me. This job is certainly fascinating but extremely enriching.
Within the agency, I also contribute to the reflections of the publications Colors et Inspirations, which allows me to keep a transversal view of the evolution of trends.
My personal life
I love Paris early in the morning, practicing meditation, art galleries like Thaddaeus Ropac or Karsten Greve, fresh ginger infusions, Le Croisic and Seoul, discovering new places and walking barefoot in all circumstances.
My mantra
Yesterday is behind, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, which is why it is called the present.
When I find some time, I share my discoveries (and my daily life) on Instagram where I have been able to build strong links with my community but also with many experts and brands. @lucille_gb
